Milan Fashion Week: Where To Eat, Sleep & Wander

Starting on September 17, the Italian city of Milan hosts their Fashion Week and if you’re looking forward to it as much as we are, you might be interested to find out where some of the finest places to sleep, eat and explore are in this beautiful city.

Where to stay: HOTEL CHÂTEAU MONFORT

Corso Concordia, 1, 20129 Milano

Just an 8 minute walk from the fashion area of Via Montenapoleone, this exquisite 5-star boutique hotel is nestled in the historic heart of Milan’s centre. The rooms are charmingly themed after fairy tales and nursery rhymes, tastefully blending antique detail and modern amenities which makes for a beautifully unique style. Guests are able to unwind in the highly romantic Rubacuori Restaurant, or indulge in top quality wine in the Cella di Bacco.

Where to eat: IL LUOGO DI AIMO E NADIA

Via Privata Raimondo Montecuccoli, 6, 20147 Milano

Located in a quiet suburb of Milan, this family restaurant has a history spanning over 50 years and has become a huge hit having been awarded two Michelin stars. Diners can enjoy a menu consisting of luxury Tuscan dishes, freshly baked bread and carefully selected wines, in an environment filled with literature, modern art and culture.

What to do: DUOMO DI MILAN

Piazza del Duomo, Milano

If you wish to have a break from the catwalks of Fashion Week, perhaps a visit to the third largest church in Christendom, Duomo di Milano, is just what you need. An astounding 3,500 statues and 135 spires embellish the beautiful marble structure, as well as five bronzed doors carved by different individual artists. If you wish to truly appreciate this stunning cathedral in all its splendour, take the lift to the roof, from where you can take in the awesome view of the Alps on a clear day.
