Appropriate for their big screen debut, Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, and living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London’s trendiest hotspots. Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!
Yes that’s right Ab Fab is hitting the big screen. As with the original which ran for 5 series, Absolutely Fabulous The Movie has been written by Jennifer Saunders, and features the champagne-fuelled duo of "international PR guru" Edina Monsoon (Jennifer Saunders) and "sex-crazed magazine editor" Patsy Stone (Joanna Lumley), with additional characters include Edina's overly serious daughter Saffron (Julia Sawalha), her daffy mother (June Whitfield), and her even daffier assistant Bubble (Jane Horrocks).
As well as the original cast the film features a list of well over 60 cameos including a whole heap of people associated with the fashion industry including Kate Moss, Lily Cole, Jean Paul Gaultier, Cara Delevigne, Jerry Hall, Anya Hindmarsh, Stella McCartney, and Daisy Lowe, as well as a host of other recognisable faces such as Harry Styles, Perez Hilton, Rebel Wilson, Nick Grimshaw, Dawn French, Tinie Tempah, Graham Norton, not to mention Kim Kardashian and Jeremy Paxman – you didn’t think you’d ever here both of them mentioned in the same sentence did you?!
