GUEST BLOG: Top Five AW15 Picks

Not sure what you need to spruce up that autumnal wardrobe? Or perhaps you are just looking to treat yourself?
Guest blogger, Natalie Ayse is helping us pick our AW15 essentials from the latest drop of new arrivals before they go!
Running her own blog focusing on Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle, Natalie Ayse is a regular customer in our Newcastle store. We invited her to select five items from our new Autumn/Winter15 collections & give you her opinion on why we need to get investing before the cold snap sets in.

Canada Goose
Chilliwack Bomber

My first pick is of course a warm, waterproof coat with a hood. It is an absolute necessity to keep warm throughout the cold months and as it is something you will always need I love to invest in a nice and high quality coat that will be a timeless piece and see you through year after year.
I like to choose colours which will go with lots of different outfits and looks, especially if paying a high price for it, you don’t want to be paying a fortune for a coat that will only look good for a few months. That is why this year I have decided to invest in the Canada Goose - Chilliwack Bomber in Silver Birch.
I have been lusting after this coat for the last few weeks now and every time I go in store I try it on. It is a true investment piece, priced at £625 it is made to last and withstand all weather conditions.
With its two fleece-lined hand warmer pockets, two lower pockets and a storm flap as well as a zipper fastening which is secured with a Military button closure it is a staple for the colder months. I also love the large fur hood!

Michael By Michael Kors
Charm Stretch Rain Boots

My second pick would have to be the Michael By Michael Kors Charm Stretch Rain Boots.
During this time of year the weather can bring a mixed bag of conditions from wind, rain to snow and so I would definitely recommend investing in some quality boots and I think these Michael Kors Boots are a perfect example.
They are a chic and sophisticated take on the classic wellington and I love how they have the logo charm detailing on the buckle. They will keep your feet unbelievably warm and most importantly dry - there’s nothing worse than walking around in the rain getting cold and wet feet!
You can pick up these boots for £130 which I think is more than reasonable especially as they are a signature pair.

Max et Moi
Bobble Hat

For my third pick it has to be a bobble hat - something that you can wear with practically everything and know that your head and particularly your ears are going to be kept super toasty and warm.
I love bobble hats and the fluffy pompoms you get on top. When I saw the Max et Moi Bobble Hats I fell in love - at £110 some might think it’s a little much for a hat, but how much use are you going to get out of this realistically? A lot!
Made from a wool and cashmere blend it’s so soft and is never going to go out of fashion.
You have the choice of either black or grey, but I personally adore the grey version as I feel the black blends into my hair too much and I want people to be able to notice it. Make sure you check both colours out in store & online.

Rockstud Patent Strap Heels

For my fourth ‘must have’ I have decided to choose something a little different to the usual autumn/winter clothing as let’s face it, it might be getting colder but we still want to look and feel sexy, especially if you have a special date or ‘girls night out’ planned.
So I have chosen the beautiful Valentino Rockstud Patent Strap Heels in the most gorgeous colour ‘Rubin’.
They are absolutely to die for and the colour is a perfect autumnal colour. Super comfortable to wear and walk in and will look gorgeous worn with a fitted dress.
Elegant and sophisticated with that extra sexiness in the shoes - a real statement piece.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with this colour and at £620 you may be a little scared to invest, but once you slip your feet into them, you won’t want to take them off, believe me. Absolute heaven.
(I would recommend selecting your normal shoe size - as they are true to fit)

Antigona Small Bag

My fifth and final piece has to be the iconic Givenchy Antigona Small Bag in burgundy.
It is absolutely gorgeous and having seen this little beauty in store I would recommend anyone who is thinking of buying it to do so!
I love the shape and style of the bag and it is made from the highest quality soft grain leather featuring silver tone hardware, a shoulder strap and the signature logo on the front.
It is incredible and can be worn with so many things from the gorgeous Valentino Rocketed heels for date night to a casual day of shopping with fitted jeans and boots.
A true cult staple, it is another great investment piece and can be used over and over again as it will add that extra little something and ‘pop’ of colour to any look.
