Cycling Canada have created a riderless bicycles video called ‘Hop On’ in a bid to encourage more Canadians to get out there on their bikes, and it is proving a real hit.
The video features a bunch of bicycles cycling, from road racing to mountain biking, track and BMX, plus a handcycle in different scenarios without an operator, making for a fascinating and interesting video that looks like something out of a Pixar movie.
The video is created by Canadian FX house Alter Ego, and directed by Mark Zibert has an eerie poignancy about it – it’s strange to see a crash, for example, where there are no riders involved, and riderless footage including trackstanding at a velodrome and bikes jumping out of a BMX starting ramp is also striking.
