Proving that beauty really is in the detail, and going some way to justify the £88,700 price tag, Gentleman's Quarterly recently tweeted a rather stunning video showcasing the 2017 Porsche Pamamera's rear spoiler. Possibly the most beautifully executed bit of car porn you'll have ever seen!
The Porsche Panamera isn’t new to the market – it’s been around since 2009 – however it has now had a facelift, and the second generation sports car now has clear identity all of it’s own and in no small part due to the ultra-sleek rear wing.
It has all new architecture, all new engines, all new transmissions, an all new computer system, and most importantly, it's got all-new styling.
The previous Panamera models were often criticised (including by Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear), for having chunky hatchback wagon styling, but now has smooth a stylish wing that unfurls in two stages to provide extra downforce.
Quite impressively this transformation can occur even when the car is traveling at 80 mph.
As well as this it is longer, wider and lower than the previous one, and has a steel frame with aluminium body making it 70 kg’s lighter too.
You can choose from 3 different size engines including a hybrid one, 3 different braking systems, numerous sized tire options, and inside the dashboard is all touchscreen.
Add to this an improved air suspension, eight-speed double clutch gearbox, and stacked chassis technology, and you end up with a car that car hit 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, and records a Nurbergring lap of 7 min 38 seconds.
