Outdoor specialists Heimplanet and German car manufacturer Audi have teamed up to produce an outdoor accessory that will make every camping experience a lot more convenient to do. An Inflatable Camping Tent that attaches to your car.
The tent attaches to the boot, but can be fully detachable and free standing if you choose, and is based on Heimplanet’s ‘Cave’ model. It fits three people, can be inflated in about 10 minutes with a fraction of the effort it takes to set up traditional tents, and the company says it’s strong enough to withstand winds of up to 43 miles per hour.
With an air frame it eliminates the needs for poles, making it very light weight and ideal to transport, and it fits into and onto Audi's Q3, Q5 and Q7 models seamlessly.
While it may not be roughing it in the traditional sense, it’s definitely the most convenient way to enjoy a night under the stars, and although it costs around £1000, when you think of the options it now gives Audi drivers it could prove to be a lot more valuable than that.
