Introducing: YMC

YMC (You Must Create) is a London founded brand born in 1995. The designers, Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins, have spent the past 20 years perfecting and developing their unique signature look. Boasting a modern, functional clothing line, YMC are proud to eschew current trends in favour of understated, wearable style.

The brand has long been a favourite at European fashion shows. Their ability to blend various subcultures with niche references all whilst layering over the pulsating sound of a carefully selected live rock band culminate to form a truly memorable catwalk experience.

Commenting on his design influence for the AW16 collection, Fraser Moss is said to have drawn from numerous political movements and the emerging subcultures which were born out of them. The modern, clean looks which were showcased in their debut at London Collections in February all featured references to a more relaxed, bohemian vibe - something which Fraser suggested was a movement away from the seemingly ever-present sports luxe trend.

However, in keeping with the here and now, the SS16 collection is one to get you hands on. The collection features soft tailoring, longline shirts, oriental workwear, and boilersuits, and closely follows the motif of "Youth and Functionality".
