London Fashion Week AW16

The fashion event of the season. London was buzzing with atmosphere as people came from near and far to be a part of London fashion week.

Organised by the British Council, it takes place twice a year and gives international talent a chance to present their collections to global press, industry buyers, bloggers, photographers and chancers.

Held at the prestigious Saatchi Gallery, this magnificent venue held it all under one roof.

While New York Fashion Week brought A-List talent on and off the runways, including Kim Kardashian West, and Whoopi Goldberg. London is catching up quickly with a sleek squad, ultra cool girl Alexa Chung was joined by English roses Ellie Goulding, Immy Water house and Lottie Moss. Also alongside sat the models of the moment Cara Delevingne and Adwoa Aboah.

Clothes dazzled on catwalks of non-stop shows, fashion presentations were given, and events all over London took place. With an electric atmosphere, last week seen London transform for London Fashion Week. Now done and dusted we’re chock a block with inspiring pictures of people wearing their very best. Taking a look over the week we’ve had a sneak peek inside the fashion world and how LFW offered the perfect opportunity to exclusively shop the best designer collections, and update your winter wardrobe with must have seasonal pieces. Visitors took their seats to watch all the catwalk shows by your favourite designers, they were the first to discover the key trends of the season and listen to the industry professionals share their secrets of making it to the top.

As Neiman Marcus Senior Vice President Ken Downing puts it: ‘Customers don’t want commercial. They want covetable.”

Roberta Benteler of online retailer Avenue 32 also believes ‘The quality of workmanship in London has soared. Designers here are creating elaborate pieces you just want to covet and keep forever.’

Our capitals best dressed were out in force last week for this season London Fashion Week. Posing up a storm in outfits that ranged from the chic and understated to the weird and wonderful.
