How/where do you go to chill out?
Chill out time for me means relaxing with family, especially my two girls. As I’m away travelling a lot of the time, any free time I get I like to spend with them, however a facial every now and then always goes down a treat!
Best new brand to watch?
The brand I'm most excited about this season is Valentino. The designer is new in for Cruise and we’ve got our eyes fixed on the Rock Stud collection.
Why do you love the North East?
The North East is full of interesting people and the atmosphere is friendlier and much more light hearted. The fashion and trends are right on point and I much prefer the slower pace than that of the South.
Where is your favourite city?
I love Italy so it would have to be Rome. The food, the atmosphere, the architecture and of course the weather! It’s also not thousands of miles away so ideal for long weekends away.
What made you want to work in fashion buying?
I’ve always had a huge passion for clothing and wanted to work in a environment that makes people feel good on a daily basis. I love seeing people wearing the clothing I’ve bought and how they go about styling it!
How would you describe luxury?
Luxury means different things to different people, but luxury to me is any piece of clothing, accessory, make-up, treatment or anything else that makes you feel good. If you feel good in what you do or wear then that’s priceless to me.
What are your 3 key wardrobe staples?
I think it has to be basics for me… black Bayswater Mulberry bag, 7 For All Mankind black skinny jeans and a pair of Michael Kors everyday pumps.
What are your handbag essentials?
Apart from the children’s baby wipes and occasional princess doll (all you mums will know what I mean!) I would have to say my iPad mini, MAC lipstick in a coral pink and my diary.
What's the one brand you couldn't live without?
It would have to be Michael Kors, there’s always something in the collection for every need and the fit for me is just great – I know my leather jacket is something I couldn’t be without.
What do you most want this season?
The Mulberry Tessie Satchel bag in black is on my Christmas list, wishlist and every other list! It’s perfect for travelling on buying trips to throw over my shoulder.
What's the one thing you don't mind spending on?
Apart from the children, my weakness is handbags, handbags and more handbags! You just can’t have enough!
Who is your celebrity style icon?
I love Olivia Palermo’s effortless style (her wedding outfit was amazing) and Gwyneth Paltrow always looks sleek and sophisticated.
