Paying tribute to its 175th anniversary, Patek Philippe has created a range of limited edition, commemorative timepieces for the momentous occasion.
After seven years of development and two years of production, Patek Philippe welcomes this greatly anticipated collection which sees the epic Grandmaster Chime take centre stage and out from the rest as one of the most luxurious and elaborate wristwatches in the world.
The Grandmaster Chime is the first reversible double face wristwatch that can be worn dial facing up or down. In it’s double face case, this intricate piece is home to a variety of functions including five chimes, three gongs, 1366 movement components and 214 case components.
Don’t be phased by it’s complex design though as this watch is extremely user friendly, safety is assured with all of the clever mechanisms that make up this highly sophisticated piece.
The Grandmaster Chime is an outstanding example of the ‘intelligent watch’ as proposed by Patek Philippe’s philosophy. Delivered in a chest made of a combination of ebony and 17 other wood species, finished with a uniquely decorated inlay. Aside from containing this must have timepiece, the exclusive chest also contains accompanying documents and a commemorative gold medal that depicts milestones of the famous brands manufacture’s history.
With only seven of these investment pieces being created, six will be sold to long-standing collectors of Patek Philippe timepieces whilst the seventh will find it’s home in a place of honour at the Patek Philippe Museum where it’s beauty will be able to be admired by the public.
