What's In a Name?
Leading French fashion house YSL has seen Hedi Slimane, the newly appointed creative director (formerly of Dior Homme), change the legendary Yves Saint Laurent brand name to Saint Laurent Paris. Although Slimane did insist that the iconic YSL logo will still be used, a source from YSL commented "This change celebrates our legacy and heritage, while boldly marking our ambition for the future".
For SS13 expect to see the new namesake appear with a radically overhauled look and feel for the new collections. We await the re-launch of Saint Laurent Paris with baited breath!
