One for the diehard cycling aficionados, the S-Works McLaren Tarmac is a seamless technical collaboration between the biking prowess of Specialized and the unrivalled speed of the F1 car manufacturer McLaren.
With a cool price tag of £16,000, the carbon fibre pedal superbike was created by McLaren using state-of-the-art simulations that put the bike through tests before going into production - the same software used to develop its F1, Super and Hypercar designs.
An upgrade to the already exceptional S-Works Tarmac, the new McLaren uses 300 percent more high-modulus fibres in its construction, reducing material and bulk. The resulting frame remarkably weighs in under 6kg and is, surprisingly, super- tough. Pair that with the black and orange paint job from McLaren’s Woking team – the guys responsible for finish on the 6-figure P1 hypercar - and you have one seriously mean bike.
