Nestled away in a Camden courtyard is the winter wonderland that is the Gingerbread Cabin. With a theme inspired menu there is no better way to drink, dine and celebrate the festive season this year.
Whilst only moments from the tranquility of Regent’s Park, transport yourself to a storybook setting with the Gingerbread Cabin pop-up, nestled in the courtyard of Gordon Ramsey’s York & Albany’s Camden townhouse, restaurant and bar.
Set to be a delicious sanctuary this season for weary shoppers, the cookie-coated home is decorated like a children's story with a warm and cosy interior. And guests are invited to wrap themselves in luxurious blankets as they enjoy toasty tipple.
They guys there have created a series of menus inspired by the cabin’s storybook setting for you to enjoy.
Tuck into the Savoury Snacks Canapé Menu of venison croquettes, butternut squash soup with a ‘gingerbread man’ crouton and crab and avocado salad. And to follow, indulge in a Sweet Snacks Canapé Menu with spiced gingerbread men, traditional parkin and a winter fruits crumble.
And for the more creative groups amongst you, you can pre-order a giant gingerbread man to decorate yourselves.
For the ultimate in afternoon decadence, you can try the elegant Gingerbread Afternoon Tea. The menu, which is also available in the restaurant, is a delicious blend of sweet and savoury treats including stem ginger & cranberry scones with clotted cream, a selection of traditional finger sandwiches, gingerbread macarons, parkin, crème brûlée and the cabin’s signature gingerbread men.
Choose from a choice of fragrant loose leaf teas or, for an optional supplement, a glass of prosecco to finish off the festivities.
For cocktail lovers, the York & Albany team of master mixologists has devised a Winter Cocktail Menu of hot toddies and warming tipples of which highlights include the Gingerbread Espresso, a festive blend of gingerbread-infused Grey Goose L’Orange, Kalhua, Amaretto and espresso with a flurry of grated gingerbread, an elegant combination of chocolate box flavours in a martini glass.
The enchanting cabin conjures the innermost memories of Christmas and is inspired by the long held festive tradition of crafting gingerbread houses. There is no better way to drink, dine and celebrate this festive season.
