It’s that time of year again, not only does Edinburgh finally see some sun but the beginning of the famous fringe festival is almost upon us. Running from the 2nd -26th of August it’s the world’s largest arts festival and with over 40,000 performances and more than 2,500 shows packed into 250 venues across the city, it promises to be bigger and better than ever and is sure not to disappoint! The festival really does have something for everyone from the small music, dance and magic acts on the high street to the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo at the castle. This year George Street will become a pedestrian only street for the duration with a host of pop up bars and acts. Nobody ever really knows what the festival will bring; only by being in Edinburgh will you find out.
