It has always been said there is an art to cocktail making. Now Czech designer Martin Jakobsen has taken this art to new levels with his collection of stunningly designed glasses. This is the future of mixology.
With his ingenious glasses and accessories, he is always looking for new ways to design and enjoy cocktails. The glasses he has designed offer plenty of opportunities to experiment with new scents, tastes, and textures, and every piece of glasswear is hand-blown in the Czech Republic.
Working primarily with a spherical shape and its variations it all started a few years ago when he came up with the idea of unconventional glassware for bar, hotels, and restaurants.
And that's just what happened, with his glasses now being served in more than 35 different countries around the world.
In addition the collection is represented in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, The Swedish Glass Museum in Vaxjo, The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague, The Prague Gallery of Czech Glass, The Moravian Gallery in Brno, The Museum of Glass and Jewellery in Jablonec, The Museum of North Bohemia in Liberec and The Museo del Vidiro in Segovia.
