Widely regarded as one of the greatest players to grace the pitch, the Dutch master Johan Cruyff had the world at his feet. Having won the Ballon d'Or 3 times, a feat only recently surpassed by a certain Lionel Messi, he spearheaded the Dutch National Team to the final of the 1974 World Cup Final, claiming the World Cup Golden Ball on his way, recognising him as the player of the tournament.
However, to assume Cruyff's talents were limited to the pitch alone would be foolish. In 1979, as his reign at Barcelona was coming to an end, Cruyff solicited the help of designer Emilio Lazzarinni with the hope of creating 'a functional and elegant brand of sportswear for the technical player.'
Now an established brand, we can confirm - having just received the latest collection here at Cruise - that they continue to adhere to the precedent set down all those years ago. Firm favourites like the Recopa Classic and the Vicenza return revamped and improved, stressing the importance placed upon innovation and progression, with the hope that their use of new materials and new techniques will move them further and further into a league of their own.
