When an IMF mission ends badly, the world is faced with dire consequences. As Ethan Hunt takes it upon himself to fulfill his original briefing, the CIA begins to question his loyalty and his motives. Hunt finds himself in a race against time, hunted by assassins and former allies while trying to prevent a global catastrophe.
The best intentions often come back to haunt you. Mission: Impossible – Fallout finds Hunt (played as always by Tom Cruise) and his team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
The previous 5 incarnations of the MI franchise have taken more than $2.7 billion at the box office.
And with the previous 3 films in the series all carrying a budget of round about $150 million you can expect the same from this, although no figures have been released as of yet, although Cruise himself was quick to state that MI6 will include ‘more incredible set pieces and stunts’.
