The Boiler Shop Steamer is a booming, monthly event celebrating everything great about food, drink, music and art in Newcastle
Founded by Riley’s Fish Shack and Wylam Brewery in association with Silverlink Holdings, The Boiler Shop Steamer is held on the first Friday and Saturday of each month in the impressive surroundings of the Boiler Shop; the birthplace of Robert Stephenson’s Rocket.
The event brings together some of the UK’s leading street food vendors, bands and DJs, creating a perfect setting for you to enjoy the food and drink and to soak up the atmosphere. A hit for all ages, the Boiler Shop Steamer is family friendly - as long as U18s are accompanied by an adult.
With its energy, aromas, flavours, sounds and visuals, The Boiler Shop Steamer is a unique experience and has secured its place in the Newcastle’s social calendar, so why not check it out if you are out and about shopping in one of our Cruise Newcastle stores!
To celebrate The Great North Run, The Boiler Shop will be opening its doors on Sunday September 7th between 12:00pm - 6:00pm and serving up dishes inspired by the athletes - expect lots of pasta! Entry is £2 on the door and kids go free.
The next big event at the Boiler Shop is the End of Summer Knees-Up on September 12th, featuring music from The Cuban Brothers, Howard Marks and Reeps One. The Boiler Shop describe the event as something 'to celebrate the end of summer and to welcome the colour of autumn… a jam packed night of music as well as a load of great street food and local ales'... Sounds good to us!
