Palme d’Or nominated film Good Time is due for release next month which tells the story of one brother’s dangerous and desperate journey to get his younger sibling out of jail after a bank robbery goes wrong, while also trying to keep himself from law's reach.
Gritty crime drama, Good Time is the new film from the directorial duo that is Ben and Joshua Safdie following the critical acclaim of Heaven Knows What in 2014. It has already been included in the Cannes Official Selection, picking up a lot of international interest as a result, so it could be one to add to your watch list.
After a botched bank robbery lands his younger brother in prison, Constantine embarks on a twisted odyssey through the city's underworld in an increasingly desperate attempt to get his brother out of jail. Over the course of one night, Constantine finds himself on a mad descent into violence and mayhem as he races against the clock to save his brother and himself, knowing their lives hang in the balance.
Starring Robert Pattinson as Connie (Constantine), and Ben Safdie as his brother Nick, the film also features Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barkhad Abdi, and Buddy Duress in the lead roles it is slated for a 11th August release.
