It’s undeniable that the two biggest stars of DC Comics have been Superman and Batman. Of the 17 films that have been releases based on the comics 17 have either featured one of the two iconic characters. However for the first time they are now going to feature together in a Warner Brothers blockbuster. Get ready for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Following his titanic struggle against General Zod, Metropolis has been raised to the ground, and Superman is the most controversial figure in the world. While for many he is still an emblem of hope, a growing number of people consider him a threat to humanity, seeking justice for the chaos he has brought to Earth. As far as Bruce Wayne is concerned, Superman is clearly a danger to society. He fears for the future of the world with such a reckless power left ungoverned, and so he dons his mask and cape to right Superman's wrongs. The rivalry between them is furious, fueled by bitterness and vengeance, and nothing can dissuade them from waging this war.
With the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight battling each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by evil billionaire Lex Luthor. Now can Superman and Batman set aside their differences to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis and threatening the world beyond it?
The film features an all star cast including Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne / Batman), and Henry Cavill (Clark Kent / Superman), as well as Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gardo.
And for all the DC fanatics the film also sees the on screen debuts of characters Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.
