Literally translated as Sicilian Cart, the new collection by Italian powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana presents a unique take on the historical horse-drawn carts native to the Italian island of Sicily. In keeping with the old tradition, the range features an intricate, ornate and colourful print.

The cart is one of the best-known symbols of Sicilian folk iconography. Originally serving solely practical purposes, the cart evolved to embody a distinctly cultural message.
Individual sculpture and paintings were applied to represent the island's growing history, or to impart a religious story, making the cart an invaluable construction that was an authentic work of transportable art. It is the exact same imagery which has served to inspire Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana throughout their creative endeavours with Dolce & Gabbana.
