After the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, another international incident involving Captain America and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers. This results in the fracturing of the team with Captain America on one side and Iron Man on the other, while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy.
Captain America: Civil War is the 13th release from Marvel Studios and continues the recent theme of superhero’s coming to blows. It was only at the end of last month that comic books rivals DC released what has been the well received Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
The film is again directed by the Russo brothers, and is being distributed by Walt Disney Studios, and boasts an all star cast which includes Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) to mention a few.
And as a bonus for us lot here in the UK, we will get to see the film a week before our American counterparts, as the UK release date has been set as April 29th.
