Customers at Cruise Glasgow, one of the city's leading premium retailers, were in for a special treat as celebrity stylist Grace Woodward held a free, in-store talk as part of Merchant City Festival’s Fashion Cultures.
Having worked for Pharrell Williams, La Roux and Florence and the Machine, to name but a few, judged on Britain’s Next Top Model and provided her skills and experience to the X Factor as Fashion Director, Grace came in to the store and talked openly about the highs and lows of her fashion career.
Her emotionally candid and refreshingly funny talk – entitled ‘Grace Woodward is Fashion Weak’ – included touching on her love for clothes rather than fashion, how we should change the rules when it comes to dressing rather than follow them blindly and, for the first time since the incident, how wearing the wrong dress at the Elle Style Awards negatively affected her life, career and self-esteem after and being voted the ‘Worst Dressed’ in the Sunday Times Style.
