Sunday night was a star studded event that took us from London to LA for the annual Grammy and BAFTA Awards, but which one to watch? Staying true to our roots, our eyes were firmly on the British stars as they waltzed the red carpet in beautiful creations from Valentino to Christian Dior and everything in between. Here we take you through a selection of winners from the night and exactly who wore what...
Top Winners
We had our fingers and toes crossed that British actor and man of the moment Eddie Redmayne, would take home the Best Actor award for his role in The Theory of Everything, and thankfully he did! Never one to shy away from bold fashion choices, the star wore a Giorgio Armani velvet, midnight blue, slim-fit tuxedo that complimented his wife’s Valentino ensemble perfectly.
Julianne Moore is having her moment in the spotlight recently and stepped out for the BAFTA’s in a figure hugging red crepe and velour dress by favourite designer, Tom Ford. With that plunging neckline and Chopard jewels, she was every bit the leading lady and worthy winner of Best Actress.
Best Dressed Women
Splashes of colour were a big thing on the London red carpet, with hues of yellow, purple and red all standing out from the crowd. Here are our top 3 best dressed women from the BAFTA’s: Reese Witherspoon – Stella McCartney, Lea Seydoux – Prada and Laura Haddock – Ashi Studio.
It was all black and white and the Grammys, and whilst the dress code is slightly more daring and bold than the average red carpet, the contenders for best dressed certainly didn’t disappoint! Here we pick our top 3 winners: Katy Perry – Zuhair Murad, Gwen Stefani – Atelier Versace and Jessie J – Ralph & Russo Couture.
