Guest Blog: Christmas & New Year Party Wear

It’s time to start planning that special party outfit and whether it be for over the festive period or even New Year’s Eve I’ve selected a few of my favourite pieces available now from Cruise which are sure to make heads turn and get you noticed for all the right reasons.
Ladies, let me introduce you to my must-haves for the festive season. Ensuring you know how I would style them!

OUTFIT ONE
As I first started browsing the rails I came across this stunning red little number from Boutique Moschino’s SS16 collection which I instantly fell in love with. This elegant Cap Sleeve Dress is just so gorgeous, cut just above the knee and finished in a stunning shade of red. What I love most about this dress is as soon as I put it on I instantly felt sexy and it hugged my figure in all the right places. I love the bow detail on the left hand side as it adds that extra something to the dress. For this outfit I wanted to let the dress to do all the talking, so I decided for me the accessories would need to be minimal. I have teamed it with a pair of nude *Christian Louboutin Pigalles 100mm and this lovely Jimmy Choo Alba Shoulder Bag which can be used as a clutch or worn over your shoulder when it starts to get too much to hold! There’s plenty of room for all the essentials and I love the gold detailing. If you're looking for something to invest in then this is the one, this bag can be worn with so many outfits and will never go out of style!
*Christian Louboutin is available in selected stores only.

OUTFIT TWO
My next pick is from the Versus Versace collection and it is this beautiful Black Bodycon Dress embellished with iconic Lionhead pins. I’m not usually a fan of dresses but when I put this on it made me feel so feminine and elegant and I think it would suit a variety of body shapes with the flattering cut out detail. Sometimes these things are just worth investing in and I think this dress could be one of those you could turn to time and time again. Because the dress is quite plain apart from the embellished pin details, I decided to add a statement shoe & bag combo to complete the look. I chose these beautiful Jimmy Choo Viola Tassel Heel & the Jimmy Choo Marilyn Glitter Clutch. I have always loved these style of shoes from the embellished tassel design to the rich toned suede finish, what better way to complete the look!

OUTFIT THREE
My third choice is from a new brand to Cruise; Self Portrait and it is this beautiful Black Cut Out Midi Dress. Personally I think it was this cut out detail that sold me on this dress. I love the cap sleeves and midi length, even though it’s a plain dress it can be dressed up just by adding simple accessories. I decided to team this dress with the iconic Jimmy Choo Abel Heels in this gorgeous neon raspberry colour. I love how the pop of colour changed the look of this dress completely, adding that something special again to the dress. These shoes are so comfortable as well they’re like wearing slippers and are the perfect gift for her this Christmas – hint hint! If you’re daring pair it with the matching raspberry Marilyn Clutch or if you want to let the shoes do the talking keep it simple with this Vivienne Westwood Jungle Croc Clutch.

OUTFIT FOUR
My fourth and final pick is this Diane Von Furstenberg Juliana Lace Dress. It is an elegant and gorgeous wrap around dress which ties around the middle. I love the low v cut detail which adds a sexy little something to the dress and would certainly be a show stopper for any New Years party. You would definitely be seeing the New Year in in style. This show stopping number is perfect for those who want to cover up the arms as it has the lace detailing to the sleeves too. I would wear this dress with black or nude accessories, so with this in mind I would either team it with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin Pigalles or Jimmy Choo Abel Patent Heels. Make sure you finish the look with this cute little Saint Laurent Monogramme Shoulder Bag. With the dress being covered in lace you don’t want too much of a fussy detailing and so simple yet effective is key.
