London Fashion Week SS16 Shows

With New York Fashion Week wrapped up for another year, the spotlight falls on the £28 billion UK fashion industry for London’s Fashion Week. Whilst the efforts of innumerable production staff, make-up artists, lighting technicians and casting directors come to a highly anticipated culmination, we get ready to follow events as they unfold, day-by-day.

So, what can we tell so far? First, the location has changed. With news that the British Fashion Council has relocated to Brewer Street Car Park in SoHo after a five year long spell at Somerset House, we can only speculate how the new environment will influence and reflect the presentation of next season’s collections, the models schedules and the guest's show priorities.

British Fashion Council CEO Caroline Rush ensure it would work, commenting that “The brilliant thing about Brewer Street is that we’ll be able to have natural light coming in through the roof", plus its within “walking distance to many of the magazines and department store head offices."

Secondly, the shows themselves! Be sure to catch one of our most highly anticipated shows by the duo made in fashion heaven – Donatella Versace and Anthony Vaccarello – as they present their Versus collection in #LFW for the first time. Watch LIVE from Cruise!

Sunday brings yet more fashion frenzy to the Cruise office as Paul Smith presents his show at 16:00 (with what is rumoured to be a seriously re-vamped collection). Followed only an hour later is Vivienne Westwood Red Label; we cannot wait to see what the Queen of Punk has produced for our SS16 wardrobes.

Thirdly, we will keep you posted with where to go when all the glitz and glamour gets a little bit too much. And by that, quite obviously, we mean where to eat. Get your fill of the finest cuisine in the country’s capital, saving you the hassle of searching both this week, and in future!
