Earlier this week the front of Marc Jacobs' store in Paris was sprayed with graffiti spelling out '$686', the work was done by artist Kidult. The bright green graffiti is part of an ongoing battle between Jacobs & Kidult. Back in 2011 the artist sprayed the designers store in New York with the word 'Art', Jacobs went on to photograph this and use it as a print on one of his tshirts, he went on to sell these for $686, the obvious inspiration for this latest attack. Once again though Jacobs has used it to use advantage and used the work for the print on a new tshirt. I just wonder where this battle will end.
