Vivienne Westwood is notorious for her eclectic designs and strong political messages, and the brand new SS16 is no different. Remember the cleavage graphics on t-shirts, or perhaps the saucy 69 sweater? Well just when you thought you'd seen it all, Vivienne Westwood pulls it out the bag yet again.
Back when she first debuted her menswear SS16 collection in Milan of June last year we already knew we'd be in for some decent, head-turning pieces for next year's summer sun. The colours were both reserved and adventurous, ranging from white to black, a good measure of blues and browns, and a LOT of prints (obviously). Whilst all catwalk garments carried a stark message about the environment and Vivienne Westwood's contempt for politicians, we're going to keep things light-hearted and assess them for what we love about them - modern styles with a unique twist.
Although we're not going to encourage you to take to the streets half-clad in some micro swim-shorts as Vivienne did with her catwalk models, we do think that a clash of colours and prints could give you the unique Westwood look you need.
Much like previous collections, Westwood's new season style encompasses a broad range of casual and smart garments in a juxtaposition of design. Check out the latest collection today, after all, the clothes are made to speak for themselves.
