Continuing to build on their relationship with legendary designer Yohji Yamamoto, adidas Originals has commissioned the designer for a new silhouette. Here we find Yamamoto taking strong cues from the brand’s iconic Superstar silhouette to deliver the Super Position sneaker under his Y’s by Yohji Yamamoto sub-label. The Super Position is adorned predominantly with leather around the upper, with a contrasting one-piece tongue and toe piece seamlessly integrated into the design. Premium suede garnishes the lacing area, while flat, waxed cotton laces add an air of sophistication to the shoe. Notable highlights also include adidas’ Three Stripes logo interpreted as contrasting zigzag stitching on the side of the sneaker. Delivered in two colorways – white/red and black/white – the Y’s Super Position Pack will be available at Concept in highly limited numbers later this month.
