Of all the collaborations we have featured over the years in Cruise Life this one takes the biscuit……or should that be bakes the biscuit. Luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has teamed up with Italian home appliance manufacturer Smeg to create a range of goods including mixers, toasters, cookers, and fridges.
On Smeg’s website its tag line is ‘Technology With Style’, and for its latest collection you cannot get much more stylish the Dolce & Gabbana.
Two main players in their respected fields both companies were actually born less than 100 miles apart with D & G being founded in Milan and Smeg in Guastalle.
The current collection features a Victoria range cooker, extractor hood, and FAB28 fridge all featuring Sicilian patterns and designs in two colours.
The first iteration draws inspiration from the region’s maiolica ceramic pottery, emulated in an ocean blue and pearl white pattern, and the second points to classic Sicilian decorations and geometric shapes known as Crocchi, with illustrations of lemons, pear, and cherries dotted throughout.
This is not the first installment of the ‘Divina Cucina’ collection though. Two previous releases have seen Smeg X D & G produce brightly coloured, and unique toasters, coffee machines, kettles, blenders, mixers, and much more.
