As part of the SS17 collection Stone Island has launched the Plated Reflective Jacket constructed from an innovative fabric that has been engineered to be garment dyed.
The nylon tela base is plated with and wind resistant resin containing thousands of glass microspheres.
The jacket is constructed in parts with Mussola Gommata, a very light cotton muslin bonded to an outer polyurethane film.
The finished piece is garment dyed with specific double dyed recipes lending colour to the textile base while respecting the reflective surface.
The jacket incorporates sportswear elements designed with active wear and functional aesthetics, this makes for the perfect jacket for any active enthusiast, and in a refreshing change is less military than previous styles.
Garment dyeing allows the outer to remain while the stitching , and interior take on the same neon tone as the pocket.
